Exclusive Sunday with Award Winning Director; Pascal Amanfo

Caught up with Pascal Amanfo; one of Africa's Leading film director and the first director to give me a scene after gate-crashing his location set and still just told me he's sure we'd still work together *winks*
I haven't met a more humble entertainment personality than 'Bro Pascal' as i call him even with head-swelling and nose-high achievements.
With notable movie hits like 'Bed of Roses', 'Single and Married', 'Open Scandal', 'True Colours' and many more, Mr Amanfo has been nominated under so many categories ranging from 'best story' to 'director of the year' and has snagged a couple to his credit already including winning the Nafca award 2011 for 'Best Screenplay' for the movie 'Somewhere In Africa' and Zaffa award for 'Best Story' in the same year and i humbly say he is a friend of the family.
Well i asked him a couple of questions and thought i should share... Here...

How's your Sunday Sir?
My Sunday is going great
Where are you @ the moment?
Presently in Accra Ghana in the pre production stage for the shooting of the movie "letters to my Mother"
Any notable faces on this current job?

Any Favourites in the business?
Favourites in this business? Not really.. I have a host of people who I enjoy working with.. No particular favourites.
You always all around the globe, where is your favourite place outsides our motherland's shores?
Well.. My job takes me around a lot and I particular enjoy London... The richness of history in the city is awesome.
Do you run an acting academy of your own?
Unfortunately I don't run an acting academy of my own.. Its not something I have particularly given a thought to.
Any interesting projects we should look out for?
And yes there's a movie about to be released I am particularly excited about.. its titled HARAM.. Sins of a Nation.. Of course a Pascal Amanfo expression...Its an off-shoot of the Boko Haram scourge tailored along the lines of the Nigerian society.
You once gave me a chance to do a scene or two on your set exactly this time two years ago, i'm looking forward to another one oh, what do you say? *tongue out*
Well I am sure we will work again soon...pretty soon... And I say that will a smile.
Any other matter you would like us to know about or tell us.
In conclusion.. I particularly feel fulfilled this year.. Single and Married my presently released work showed for almost 5 weeks in 9 cinemas across Nigeria... Melcom Boss denies using the top floors of the building as a warehouse

Mr Bhagwan Khubchand-Ani Chairman of Melcom Group of companies, has denied allegations that the 3 top floors of the 6 storey building of the mall that collapsed on Wednesday the 7th was used as a warehouse and had overloaded the place with stock for the upcoming Christmas season.
“This is not true…it is not a warehouse, it is not a wholesale… We have 6 warehouse compounds, totalling over 200,000 sq. ft. only 2 kms away from our Achimota Branch (in the Industrial area, and goods are supplied to the shop as and when required even daily if necessary)….What heavenly reason can we possibly have to overstock the place when they can supply goods to us every blessed day?...What heavenly reason can we possibly have in keeping more goods than necessary? I would prefer to use every square inch of our place in displaying products rather than waste it on storage. If I were a wholesaler it would be different, I’m a pure simple retailer; as in piece, piece (selling). Nobody comes to me and buy in cartons, so why would I save extra goods in a warehouse, for what reason?” he rhetorically asked.
The Chairman, together with the Managing Director and other top executives, were on a visit to the 37 Military Hospital to meet, console and encourage the employees and the public who were affected.
The team, which had earlier been to the Police Hospital, the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital as well as the Achimota Hospital, presented some items to those convalescing.

First Lady of Zimbabwe, Grace Mugabe blast TB Joshua's church and call's Nigeria war-torn; And i replied

President Robert Mugabe’s wife, Grace has blasted members of Nigerian preacher TB Joshua’s church who frequently fly out of Zimbabwe going for healing and other church meetings. Mrs Mugabe said Zimbabweans should not waste their money visiting foreign prophets but should instead seek salvation cheaper locally. Addressing thousands of Christians of the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa, ZAOGA, at the Today’s Women Conference at Glamis Stadium in Harare yesterday, Grace referred to Christians who visit what she termed war-torn countries naming Nigerian and Ghana, of which it could be only TB Joshua’s country Nigeria since it is the other of the two which is war torn. “I really don’t understand why scores of people are putting their faith on foreign preachers. They are having to raise a lot of money to visit them when in Zimbabwe we are blessed with anointed people of God who are able to do even greater things,” she said. Grace Mugabe’s comments come at a time when scores of Zimbabweans, including Cabinet ministers, are flocking to countries such as Ghana and Nigeria seeking divine intervention. “It doesn’t matter which denomination you belong to, we are all seeking one God. Believe in our prophets and stop wasting money visiting faraway countries. In Zimbabwe we have people who, through prayer, can heal you from your sickness and restore your broken marriage. “People have this misconception that Zimbabweans do not know how to pray. Little do they know that we have a lot of anointed people who are able to help us because they know the environ¬ment that we are operating under. A closer look at the countries which are being thronged by our people reveals that they are torn by war and hunger,” she said. Grace Mugabe told the thousands of people who attended the last day of the conference, organised by Prophetess Eunor Guti of the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God, that she also seeks the help of local spiritual leaders. “I might be Grace Mugabe of Zimbabwe, but I cannot do it all on my own,” she said to wild applause. “I go to Amai Guti seeking guidance and she prays for me. The prayers enable me to keep my family and life together. I see God’s power in her and I have come to realise that God gives you people in your life to do certain tasks that you cannot do on your own because they are anointed in that area. “There is no point in trying to compete or badmouth the anointed because theirs is a gift from God.” Amai Mugabe added that she also believes in fasting as she seeks God. “Prayer and fasting have sustained me and I have also learnt to ask God for wisdom every day. “The book of James 1:5 says: ‘If any of you lack wisdom, let them ask of God, who gives to all men liberally and upbraids not, and it shall be given him.’ “To know what to do require wisdom that comes from God,” she said. The conference ran from November 8-10 and attracted delegates from more than 182 countries
Somebody that is close to this woman should please shut her up for me, because i no fit reach where she dey . Did anyone read to the bottom of the article and see the number of countries who sent delegates to her conference? And she isn't a minister oh! People cease to concern themselves with affairs that will directly or at least indirectly affect them, their loved ones or their business and jump into totally into irrelevant matters just to hear others say dem don talk. Don't say it doesn't concern me too, after all this one you are reading is my business.

Quit telling us lies if you don't wanna tell the truth Tonto!

Tonto Dikeh has adamantly refused to give in on the identity of her would be lover. Truth be told i honestly think she doesn't have one and its ridiculous that any picture of her and any guy is immediately posted up by funny websites saying "she finally reveals her man" Quit telling lies if you don't wanna tell the truth jare.
“I’m a grown woman I’m not young anymore, so definitely I have someone in my life that I love…that I love to death, i love him, i love him, he makes me happy, he makes me laugh. He’s making me blush, but I can’t talk about him, that’s all I can say”. -Tonto Dikeh

Mario Balotelli's Camouflage Bentley GT attracts all eyes

Italian striker Mario Balotelli has had his £160,000 Bentley Continental GT wrapped in vinyl army camouflage for that special effect.
The 22-year-old car attracted attention recently parked at the Carrington complex, plenty of backroom staff and even some players approached it for a closer look.
Balotelli, who crashed his car in the Deansgate area of Manchester earlier this year, acted like his car was just like any other normal expensive motor.
Even surrounded by the many exotic sports cars owned by his team mates, Mario’s Bentley still easily caught the eye.

Ice Prince; I slept on the carpet for one year!

It’s never easy getting to the top in Nigeria’s fast-growing and competitive music industry. Most of the stars today had very rough beginnings in the industry and their stories now are a source of inspiration to the upcoming ones. Panshak Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince is one of the biggest names in the Nigerian music industry today, but he had it rough at the beginning. Speaking to Showtime on his birthday about how he rose to the top, Ice Prince said it was a long journey of hustle and bustle filled with many hurdles.“A journey that took me out of Jos where I grew up to Lagos wasn’t an easy one. It was hard for me to settle down. I hustled; I had to sleep on the carpet for one year.“At a point I stayed with Gini and squatted with MI. It was pretty rough but I thank God for what and who I am today. Those challenges I see as molecules that formed me.“Every year is a blessing for me and to add another year makes me great. Although, I am feeling like I am getting older but I’m blessed because all my birthdays have been amazing.“When I was a kid, my parents used to celebrate my birthday and now that I am mature my friends always do something special for me on my birthday. Last year, it was celebrated in Abuja with the likes of 2face and this year, we are celebrating it in Lagos, Abuja and Port-Harcourt”, he said.Speaking further, Ice Prince noted that the industry is fast growing with the likes of D’banj whose music is being played on London radio. He said that as artistes, their primary duty is to create and produce quality music for their fans.According to him, the industry is sensitive and therefore, it is important that everybody strives to make a difference by taking the dream to the next level in years to come.
